Jersey Shore: Gay Edition?
Producers think it is a good idea!
Sources are reporting that the minds that brought you the guidos and guidettes that you know and love from The Jersey Shore are looking to expand on the franchise. A casting call has gone out for gay juiceheads and lesbian grenades to come forward to to be the next [...]
Sure, we all grew up on these or the Goosebumps ones but are we going to ruin the nostalgia by bringing these to theaters?
Red Crown Productions has made a deal with Choose Your Own Adventure series publisher Chooseco to make the series into films.
These books were awesome because they were interactive. How would they pull that off on-screen though?
We suppose there are some approaches they COULD take, such as:
-Show multiple outcomes of on-screen courses of action, like how they did it in Run Lola Run
-Use self-referential humor as a technique to move the story along
-Allow audiences to vote on key scenes BEFORE the movie is even made
-Avoid AT ALL COSTS any techniques used in 1995's interactive Mr. Payback, where audiences used joysticks to vote on the action
Guess we'll see what approach they end up taking. This could be cool if they're smart about it, or it could be REALLY, REALLY bad.
Would U like to re-live your childhood with Choose Your Own Adventure movies?

Elizabeth Taylor Is Improving, But Still Hospitalized
Poor Elizabeth Taylor. She's been through so much.
The legendary star was admitted to the hospital last week for congestive heart failure, a condition she's been suffering with since November 2004.
Her publicist Jamie Cadwell says her health is improving, however she remains hospitalized.
She's currently under observation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center "for the time being," but [...]
This is a WAY better idea, dontcha think??
The Poltergeist reboot has thankfully been scrapped.
According to sources, MGM plans to go back to their original idea of making a sequel, making a fourth film that will follow a "broken Stephen Freeling and the spites that tore his family apart."
With the Nightmare on Elm Street reboot failing pretty hardcore, it seems like MGM may have learned their lesson and has decided to return the franchise's characters rather than creating a reboot.
We're digging the idea. What do U think??

‘Megamind’ Premieres In NYC
David Cassidy, who found fame and fortune as a teen heartthrob on The Partridge Family, was arrested last night in Fort Lauderdale, FL on charges of drunk driving. Here is David‘s very unattractive mugshot … he got busted, y’all!
Former teen idol David Cassidy faces a drunken driving charge after a Florida Highway Patrol officer stopped him on a Fort Lauderdale, Florida, highway Wednesday night. Cassidy, 60, failed roadside sobriety tests and registered at .14 on an alcohol breath test, according to the arrest report. A reading of .08 or higher is illegal for drivers in Florida. The singer-actor “appeared to be somewhat confused” and was “very apologetic for having to be stopped,” the arresting officer said. Police found a half-empty bottle of bourbon under the seat of Cassidy’s Mercedes, although he told the officer he had only consumed a glass of wine with lunch several hours earlier, the report said. He told the officer he took a hydrocodone pill — a pain medication also known as Vicodin — about three hours earlier. The trooper pulled Cassidy over after his car left the roadway and went onto the shoulder rumble strip two times before cutting off another car at an exit ramp, the police report said. His publicist did not immediately respond to CNN requests for comment.
The fact that Cassidy blew a .14 on the breathalyzer is reason enough for his arrest but he got caught with a half-empty bottle of bourbon under his car seat? Yeah, I don’t know how his lawyer is going to be able to argue away this incident as a misunderstanding. It is so reckless and exceedingly dangerous to get behind the wheel of a car while intoxicated … I can’t even believe that anyone would drive around while drinking any alcoholic beverage. Are we supposed to believe that David Cassidy wasn’t drinking that bottle of bourbon while he was driving? I’m very curious to see if he is able to get himself out of this pickle of a problem he got himself into. Thank the gods that no one was injured.

Britney Spears Hosts A Dinner Party To Raise Funds For Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts
Oprah Winfrey, the woman who literally has it all, was honored in her adopted hometown of Chicago, IL by outgoing mayor Richard Daley with a street named in her honor. The street directly in front of Oprah‘s Harpo Studios in Chicago has been renamed as Oprah Winfrey Way in honor of her 25 successful years in the Windy City. Oprah happily appeared at the ceremony yesterday where her street name was unveiled, check out some photos and some deets about this honor below.
On Wednesday, outgoing Chicago Mayor Richard Daley gave another departing Chicago institution, Oprah Winfrey, a civic version of a parting gift: Her own street. Daley, who will leave office next week after more than 22 years, honored Winfrey by naming a block in front of Harpo Studios “Oprah Winfrey Way.” Winfrey is ending her own two-decade-plus run as host of her Chicago-based television show. “Your presence in Chicago has been a gift …” Daley said, moments before the cover was pulled off the sign that stands in front of the studio’s main entrance, calling Winfrey “a great ambassador for our city.” Winfrey was equally effusive about Daley and her adopted hometown. “I just want to say thank you to the mayor and also to the city of Chicago for embracing me and allowing me to take a stand and make a stand here in this city,” said Winfrey. Winfrey is the latest of well over 1,200 celebrities, religious leaders, activists and others who have been honored with street signs in Chicago. The list includes Michael Jordan, Siskel and Ebert, Frank Sinatra — who has two — and the geniuses behind Chicago-style hot dogs and pizza. More than 100 people crowded onto the block and dozens more stood behind police barricades that blocked both ends of the street in one of the best attended ceremonies since the city started honoring people with the signs in the early 1980s … Winfrey told the crowd about coming to Chicago in 1984 to host a morning talk show, “A.M. Chicago,” and how she fell in love with the city and decided quickly that if she didn’t get the job she would find a job, perhaps in advertising, just so she could stay. Winfrey said having a street named after her was “better than an Oscar or an Emmy.” “It is really just a full circle, miracle story,” she said, “that a little colored girl born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, on a red dirt road ends up with my name on a street in the greatest city in the world, Chicago.”
I mean … Oprah has countless awards, massive amounts of money, her OWN television network … why not add a street to her collection of accomplishments. I can’t say that I’m at all surprised that Oprah got her own street name … in fact, I wouldn’t even be surprised if the entire city of Chicago were renamed after her. There is no doubt, Oprah Winfrey has enjoyed HUGE success in Chicago and she has shared much of her success with the city that has been so good to her. After 25 years in the biz there, it totally makes sense that Chicago, IL is now home to Oprah Winfrey Way.

We kinda wonder what it's like not to have such a hateful and homophobic person be allowed to spread himself in your country.
While we're all for free speech, we can't help but like the idea of what the UK has imposed upon American shock-jock Michael Savage (real name Michael Weiner was changed — because doesn't Savage sound much more badass?). Not only that, but it looks like the UK has no intention of lifting the ban, either.
Here's the latest info:
In the latest communiqué from the British government, Michael Atkins, writing on behalf of the U.K.'s treasury solicitor, told Savage's London-based attorney, "Your client has not provided any evidence to show that he did not commit the unacceptable behaviour" that prompted the "decision to exclude him, nor has your client provided any acceptable evidence to show his repudiation of those unacceptable behaviours."
Atkins said Savage can do nothing at the moment to affect his status and must wait until December, when the decision is scheduled for review.
Savage has the 3rd most listened to radio show in the States. Either people really dig what he's saying, or most people just want to hear what he's going to say next as a form of entertainment. We hope it's the latter.
We'll see what happens come December!
Do U think he should be banned?
